The 28th Taipei Building Show, Taiwan's largest building material exhibition, will kick off on December 15 and run to the 18th at both the TWTC Exhibition Hall 1 and Nangang Exhibition Center. This year’s event brings together exhibitors from 10 countries including Japan, Korea, Italy, and Malaysia; in particular, both the USA and Canada will set up national pavilions. The 2015 Taipei Building Show attracted over 70,000 visitors and buyers, and the organizer expects the number will continue to grow this year.
Themed “construction safety and safe building”, the 2016 event puts emphasis on both smart homes and the application of safe building materials for home security, as well as remote control systems. Highlights of the show will include green building materials and compound materials that stress low-pollution and low-environmental damage, fireproof equipment, earthquake-resistant designs, and intelligent facilities, showcasing hardware and software functions critical to modern safe buildings that meet social demands. The application of IoT to buildings will also be demonstrated at the show.
In addition, the 13th Architecture Forum of Taiwan and the 45th Architecture Festival will be held in conjunction with the Taipei Building Show, making this series of events a premium occasion for Taiwan’s construction industry. Taiwan's winning designs, three Gold and one Silver award won at the FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards 2016 in Panama City, will be displayed at the show so visitors may see the design concepts and share the winning experience.
