The 2015 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (ORSM) was held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City from August 5 to 8, 2015. The Taiwan Pavilion, organized by the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), hit a record high with 62 exhibitors utilizing 83 stands. The exhibiting areas spread across 3 meeting rooms at MR251, MR253 and MR355, making Taiwan the biggest exhibiting country at ORSM. The strong high-tech and innovative image of the Taiwan Pavilion was successfully conveyed at the exhibition and generated numerous business opportunities.
The Taiwan Pavilion brought together middle- and downstream manufacturers to showcase the newest products and manufacturing capabilities of full value chains. Major exhibitors included the Far Eastern New Century Corp., Li Peng Enterprise Co. Ltd., Nan Ya Plastics Corp., Shinkong Textile Co. Ltd., Fulltide Enterprise, Sheico Group, Hui Liang Industrial Co., Ltd., U-Long High Tech Textile Co., Ltd., Tai Yuen Textile Co., Ltd., Tai Erh Enterprise, etc. The Taiwan Garment Industry Association made its first presence by recruiting 4 members, including Texray, King’s Metal Fiber, QMI and Texma, to demonstrate their state-of-the-art systems and services which have enabled them to be strategic partners of global brands.
Mr. Ming-Shy Chen, deputy director general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in L.A. and Ms. Andrea Chou, specialist of the Economic Division of TECO in L.A. visited the Taiwan Pavilion on August 5 and exchanged views with participating companies from Taiwan concerning the development of this industry. Most companies expressed that attending the show was highly effective, and they also appreciated the sponsorship of the Bureau of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
