Taiwanese Companies Take Part in Moscow’s Metalloobrabotka 2016

The 17th International Exhibition for Equipment, Instruments and Tools for the Metalworking Industry ─ Metalloobrabotka ─ was successfully held from May 23 to 27, 2016 at the Expocentre in Moscow.

Metalloobrabotka Moscow is the leading international trade fair to display equipment, instruments and tools for the metalworking industry in Russia and the CIS countries. The show aims to enhance the local manufacturing sector’s competitive edge, especially in the automotive and aerospace industries, and showcase the best technologies that drive the metalworking market forward. It is a wonderful platform for international suppliers of the metalworking industry. This year, more than 900 companies from 32 countries participated in the exhibition. Forty-one Taiwanese companies attended the show, of which, 11 companies were led by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry.

The “Taiwan Products Launch & Press Conference”, sponsored by the Bureau of Foreign Trade and organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, was also held at the exhibition. Hiwin, Seyi, Asia Pacific Elite Corp., Honor Seiki and Tongtai (five major Taiwanese suppliers) showcased their products to the local media and potential buyers. Because of the sanctions imposed by the U.S. and European countries, Russia is implementing its localization policy to upgrade its domestic manufacturing capability. Thus, there are numerous opportunities for cooperation between Russian and international machine tools manufacturers.
