The Philippines places considerable importance on solar energy related parts and components in relation to the paragraph 31(iii) mandate of reducing and/or eliminating non-tariff barriers (NTBs). The Philippines wishes to highlight the specific NTBs on solar energy products identified in the September 2009 workshop and suggest that they could serve as a basis for discussions towards this very important element of the CTESS mandate.
