Taiwan Excellence, the mark of quality assurance in Taiwan was showcasing Innovative Lifestyle and Smart Transportation products at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, at Booth 301, at TAIWAN EXPO 2018 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC), in Bang Na in Bangkok from August 30 – September 1, 2018.
The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion showcased 80 products from 39 brands, with a product tour led by Thai celebrities Sunny Suvarnamethanon and Elizabeth Sadler for VIP guests and media exploring Smart Home and Smart Transportation products; informing Thai consumers about the use of advanced technology and electronics to create unique Taiwan Excellence products. There was also a second product tour on September 1, 2018 with Mario Maurer and Matthew Dean Chanthavanij, including activities and a competition to win roundtrip flights to Taiwan.
Taiwan Excellence honors the most innovative products from Taiwan, based on R&D, design, quality, and made-in-Taiwan merits that have valued to users worldwide. By bringing this potential to Thailand at TAIWAN EXPO 2018, Taiwan Excellence is boosting trade relations between Taiwan and Thailand.
In 2017, the trade value between Taiwan and Thailand was around USD $10.8 billion, according to the Ministry of Finance, with trade growth between Taiwan and Southeast Asia markets, including Thailand, rising 17% between 2016 and 2017. Taiwan is a leader in many industries, including sports & leisure goods, healthcare products and textiles as well as green energy. With strong industry and educational success, Taiwan excels in the digital technology sectors, resulting in a fast-developing IoT infrastructure.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Taiwan Excellence is recognized in 102 countries worldwide. The annual Taiwan Excellence Awards and Taiwan Excellence Pavilion are being organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
Innovative Lifestyle products include a Matrix S-Drive Performance Trainer by Johnson Health Tech which is a treadmill that is suitable for rehabilitation sports with forward, backwards and sideways running to train power, endurance and speed; SleepBank’s exclusive sleep frequency technology chip to aide restful slumbers; and a state-of-the-art massage chair by Tokuyo Biotech that incorporates NASA Zero-G principles. In the area of Smart Transportation, GEOSAT APLAS II which is an unmanned helicopter and stands for “Artificial Precision Agriculture Systems” demonstrates a useful, fully automatic and low pollution machine that can help in saving manpower, and wide spraying area; and Merida XTGL-Optical CMH Luminaire system offers high reflectance, which could be used for street lights, indoors or even for factories.
The Taiwan Excellence Smart Transportation Forum, held on 31st August 2018, from 10.30-12.00 hrs. at SILK 1 Room showcased the latest transport solutions coming from Taiwanese brands, with advanced technology and electronics driving forward excellence in the public transport systems of tomorrow. President and CEO of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), Mr. Walter M.S. Yeh opened the Forum, with Professor Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat, President of the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology delivering the keynote speech.
