The biannual Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) and Drone Taiwan organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will be held at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 from August 15 to 17, 2019. Registration begins on August 15, 2018. Exhibitors are encouraged to register before the end of December 2018 to enjoy an early bird discount of 10% off the booth registration fee.

The TADTE, Taiwan's oldest and most internationalized aerospace and national defense industry exhibition, will reach its 15th exhibition in 2019. The exhibition grew in scale and had an innovative year in 2017, in which the number of exhibitors grew to 129 and the number of participants grew to over 36,000. In coordination with the government's Five Major Innovative Industries Project, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defense Pavilion, one of the event's main attractions over the years, will not only display Taiwan's cutting-edge national defense and armaments capabilities, but is also expected to display advanced (jet) trainer development results under the policy to spur domestic production of combat aircrafts. The Aerospace Industry Pavilion led by Aerospace Industrial Development Corp., Taiwan's industry leader, and the Space Tech Expo area planned by the National Space Organization will be unveiled on a larger scale. These will be the highlights of 2019 that participants simply cannot miss.

The first Drone Taiwan held in 2017 saw enthusiastic responses from exhibitors. In addition to the Ministry of National Defense’s exhibition of large military drones developed by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (CSIST), there were 12 other exhibitors that used a total of 31 booths. Commercial and civil fixed-wing and rotor UAVs, as well as related components, software solutions, and application services will be the focus in 2019. There will also be a test flight area free for the exhibitors to access (can be used for flight technique performances and interactive experiences, etc.). Industry lecturers and domestic and foreign companies will be invited to share the industry's development and market trends. In light of the increasing demand on UAVs and related applications, including aerial photography, disaster relief, survey, logistics load, agricultural applications, and urban and land management services, the scale of participation is expected to continue growing in 2019.

In addition to mobilizing over 60 foreign embassies to help TAITRA promote the event by contacting foreign buyers, additional advertisements will be posted on professional media in the US, Germany, UK, and Japan, and international campaigns will be launched in New Southbound countries.
