Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) held a joint press conference in Yangon, Myanmar on September 26th to promote the 2019 6-in-1 Taipei International Auto Parts & Accessories Show (Taipei AMPA). Approximately 100 reporters, guests, and buyers were present, and the Myanmar Automobile Manufacturer & Distributor Association (MAMDA) Chairman Soe Tun was invited to give a speech. Mr. Soe Tun shared his experience on organizing buyer groups to attend Taipei AMPA, asserting that as the number of automobiles in Myanmar increases and up to 80% of these automobiles are second-hand, the requirement for maintenance auto parts and electronic products are escalating. This would be the perfect chance to work with Taiwan manufacturers, and he looks forward to further business collaborations and exchanges between Taiwan and Myanmar.
The 2018 Myanmar International Auto Parts & Accessories Show was renamed Myanmar AMPA and became an overseas series show of Taipei AMPA. Held at Yangon Convention Centre (YCC) on September 27-30 with a total of over 120 exhibitors from 13 countries, the show has become the most indicative auto part & accessory aftermarket exhibition in Myanmar. TAITRA also had people at the show grounds promoting the 2019 Taipei 6-in-1 show and inviting various foreign companies to participate in Taiwan. Besides local Myanmar agents, who showed high interest in Taipei AMPA, Thai Auto-Parts Manufacturers Association (TAPMA) also indicated their desire to set up a national pavilion, and Korean companies actually registered for Taipei AMPA right on the spot.
