The management system makes dynamic estimation of remaining power storage based on self-learning. It can analyze users' riding habit based on AI technology and thereby analyze power consumption rate under varying running distances, MCRL general director Lee Tzong-ming said.
The dynamic estimation of remaining running distance available for users based on power consumption rate and remaining power storage reaches high accuracy, with errors less than 5%. In addition, when power batteries automatically limit power output at low levels of power storage or under too high or too low temperature, the system can display limit on power use and send warning to users before power is exhausted, Lee indicated.
Kwang Yang and MCRL have been cooperating to develop 36 technologies concerning the energy management system, which has also been applied to electric buses and large high-voltage batteries.
There were 82,400 electric scooters sold in the Taiwan market in 2018, with Gogoro selling 72,100 for a market share of 87.5%.
