TAITRA led a Trade Mission consisting of 31 Taiwanese companies to visit and conduct one-on-one trade meetings with local buyers in Belgrade, Bratislava, Kiev and Warsaw during the period from October 12th to 27th, 2019.

The Trade Mission, after a long break for so many years, started the trip by hosting a trade event in Serbia, invited to which were the Trayal (a manufacturer of tires, protective masks and industrial blasting machines), the Teleoptik Gyroscopes (a large military precision optics manufacturer), and the Saga (an integrator of digital transformation software). In addition, the Trade Mission also visited the UK-invested Albon Engineering & Manufacturing Plc Group (a Tier 1 supplier of automobile parts and components) and its subsidiary Agena Technology d.o.o.

The second stop was Slovak, a country well known for its automobile and electronics industries, where the Trade Mission visited the German-invested Volkswagen, the largest automaker in Slovak and one of the top three automakers in the world, with an annual sales revenue of more than 235 billion euros. Set up in in 1991, this Volkswagen factory in Slovak produces five brands of cars, namely Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Škoda and SEAT.

The third stop was Kiev in Ukraine, where the procurement representatives of the state-run Ukrainian Railways discussed with our Da Lian Machinery Co., Ltd. the Ukrainian certification standards for materials and machinery to make railway products. Moreover, Ukraine's large auto parts importer Elit and our Demax Enterprise Co., Ltd. conducted cooperation talks on engine seals and chassis systems. After the event, the delegation visited Epicentr K, the largest retailer group and the eighth largest company in Ukraine.

The last stop was Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The Inter Cars (the country's largest auto-parts dealer) and the Cyfrowy Polsa (a satellite communications company) took part in the trade event. In addition, Jacek Boczkaja, deputy mayor of Kutno, an important railway transportation hub in the province of Lodz, personally received our delegation and arranged for us trade meetings for special vehicles, electric vehicles, automation systems, food machinery, and so on.
