The Taiwan International Fisheries & Seafood Show (TIFSS), Taiwan's only trade platform for the fishing industry, will move from southern Taiwan to the northern metropolitan Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 from September 3rd to 5th in 2020. In the 6th year of TIFSS, the move northbound is expected to attract more domestic and overseas exhibitors and buyers, securing TIFSS as a major platform for the fishery professionals.

The exhibit areas include "Fishery Equipment and Technology," "Aquaculture," Seafood & Value-Added Seafood," "Seafood Processing Equipment and Technology," and "Marine Biotechnology." The newest technologies for deep-sea fishing, aquaculture, seafood processing and biotechnology will be showcased. It is also worth noting that the debut "Fishing Tackle" area in 2019 was highly successful. As a result, this year's TIFSS will introduce the concurrent "Taiwan International Fishing Tackle Exhibition" as a show affixed to TIFSS. According to TAITRA, the organizer, a total of 8,000 domestic and foreign buyers will be visiting the TIFSS.

Taiwan has been one of key players in the international fishery arena. Taiwan's deep-sea fishing industry, with an annual production of more than US$1.3 billion, is one of the world's top three deep-sea fishing producers. In addition, Taiwan's tuna longlining fishing industry operates over a third of the world's longline tuna vessels.

In TIFSS 2020, there will be more than 300 one-on-one procurement meetings. A number of debut international forums will be held in collaboration with international media. These will help create more interactions between local and global fishery professionals.

The early-bird booth application is currently available until March 31, 2020. For more information, please visit www.taiwanfishery.com.
