A Taiwan trade mission consisting of 13 suppliers and led by the Taiwan External Trade Development
Council (TAITRA) visited Warsaw, Poland from October 22 to 25, 2017. The objectives of this visit were to look for business strategy alliances and build a closer trade partnership between Taiwan and Poland.
During their stay in Warsaw, the suppliers attended a B2B meeting at the InterContinental Hotel
in Warsaw City on October 23, 2017. The participating Taiwanese suppliers represented solutions for Industry 4.0, the IoT and smart city (medical, retail, and logistics) industries, Industrial Equipment Manufacturers, Edge Intelligence Platform, etc. They aimed not only to seek niche markets in Poland to promote their high-quality
products but also to expand into the Central and East European markets. In addition, they called on some potential companies to establish further business exchange and cooperation. A Taiwan-Poland Smart City Seminar was also held in the afternoon on the same day.
Ambassador Shih and Director Chen from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office visited the B2B Meeting to
encourage the delegates and urge them to keep up their good work during their stay in Warsaw. In addition, Ambassador Shih delivered a welcoming speech at the seminar.
