In order to facilitate economic and trade cooperation between Taiwan and Lithuania, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Enterprise Lithuania have jointly commissioned the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to establish a "Lithuania Zone" on the Taiwantrade.com webpage (https://lithuania.taiwantrade.com).

It mainly introduces Lithuanian industries, enterprises, and a series of Taiwan-Lithuania business events, such as matchmaking meetings and seminars. The BOFT hopes lithuania.taiwantrade.com will facilitate interaction among companies from both countries.

The webpage consists of four sections: About Lithuania, Business Partners in Lithuania, Business Opportunities in Lithuania, and Upcoming Events. It is an ideal digital trading platform for enterprises from both countries, allowing users to swiftly contact potential business partners and create more business opportunities.

Lithuania is the largest economy among the three Baltic countries. It has a diverse industrial structure and world-renowned laser technologies used by important research institutions. Ninety percent of the world's top 100 universities use Lithuanian laser equipment. Hence, Lithuania is a potential partner of Taiwan in industries, such as ICT, FinTech, biotechnology and medical equipment, electric vehicles, and agro-food.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lithuania has extended a helping hand by donating AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccines to Taiwan, thereby highlighting the profound friendship between our two countries!
