The Republic of Palau is one of the countries in the Oceanic region with which the Republic of China (Taiwan) has formal diplomatic relations. In 2025, total bilateral trade between Taiwan and Palau amounted to US$14.96 million.
Investment
According to Ministry of Economic Affairs Department of Investment Review statistics, Taiwanese companies have invested a cumulative US$52 million in Palau, in a total of four cases. The sectors invested in include hotels, department stores, tourism, and fisheries. Meanwhile, two Palauan enterprise has invested in Taiwan, in the transportation and warehousing industry, with the investment amounting to US$645 thousand.
