In view of the green promotion policy & energy-saving trends in New Southbound Countries, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) through Green Trade Project Office (GTPO) organized the “2019 Taiwan Trade Mission of Green Technology” and led ten top green Taiwanese energy-saving companies to visit Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand from September 15th to September 21st, conducting over 500 one-on-one trade meetings and 3 visits to local companies. The attending Taiwanese companies included: Delta Electronics Inc., Radiant Star Co., Ltd., Lih Yang Electric Machinery Co., Ltd., Team Young Technology Co., Ltd., Oma Lighting Co., Reecos Technology Co., Ltd., LixControls Int., Co., Ltd., DaDaDa Ltd., United Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., and Neotroni Lighting Inc. Delegates from Taiwan showcased Taiwan's green industry, and met over 180 buyers with the goal of deepening bilateral cooperation between Taiwan and New Southbound Countries.
As the New Southbound Market pays more and more attention to energy saving, the first stop to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam attracted many Vietnamese buyers. Delegates from Taiwan had a great meeting day with the buyers and said that they were surprised at Vietnamese buyers’ growing needs for energy-saving. Furthermore, a visit was arranged to the leading real estate investment firm in HCM, Duc Linh Real, and the electrical contractor, SAPULICO, which focuses on the public lighting in HCM City. The CEO from SAPULICO gave Taiwanese delegates a clear and detailed introduction into the market for public lighting in Vietnam and had in-depth communication with Taiwanese delegates.
For the second stop, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia the Taiwanese delegation met many Malaysian buyers in the meeting, including TC Management services corporation Sdn. Bhd., KDEB Waste Management, among others. One of the buyers asked Taiwanese delegates to suggest a 100 thousand light tube to LED replacement plan. On the next day a workshop with 4 leading Malaysian contractors and lighting companies, including Amptech, Protech, HBL and PCO was held. Buyers came all the way from Melaka to Kuala Lumpur in the early morning to meet with Taiwanese delegates, and were impressed by Taiwan’s products and total solutions. They expressed enthusiasm for future cooperation.
The last stop was Bangkok, Thailand. Thai buyers showed great interest in Delta’s Smart Surveillance Solutions, including the Delta SmartPASS; they were also impressed with Dadada’s Smart Energy Management System, SMART POWER. Buyers raised several requests including indoor and outdoor lighting design for a newly-built, 45-story, building; lighting design for a 7-a-side football field with FIFA standards, and even LED plant lighting for growing plants.
Overall, with the high precision of discussions that took place and the complete coverage of products and solutions the Taiwanese delegates provided, both delegates and buyers received a lot of information and input from the meetings and expect future cooperation, joining hands to create a greener environment.
