Stimulus Measures for Physical and Online Exhibitions to Promote Trade Shows and Exports

To boost Taiwan’s MICE industry, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced stimulus measures for exhibition organizers affected by COVID-19 specifically for physical or online exhibitions being held between June 1 and December 31, 2020 or those that were originally scheduled to be held this year but were re-scheduled for a date before or on May 31, 2021.

The MOEA hopes that by encouraging the organization of physical and online exhibitions, restrictions due to the pandemic can be overcome and its overseas marketing can be facilitated. Starting today, exhibition organizers or coordinators authorized by the organizer can begin submitting applications. The application deadline is April 30, 2021.

The Bureau of Foreign Trade held seminars in Taipei on August 25 and one in Kaohsiung on August 31 and invited all domestic exhibition organizers to participate.
