Businesses Give Five Stars to Digital Trade Stimulus Plan

The Bureau of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Economic Affairs launched the Measures to Strengthen Digital Trade and E-commerce in April this year to help Taiwanese businesses overcome pandemic restrictions to trade promotion.

The measures offer various digital trade counselling programs, many of which have received highly positive feedback from the industry. These include the Martech precision global digital promotion, professional photography services, AI product video production services, and assistance to place products on e-commerce platforms. The BOFT’s timely counselling services during pandemic travel restrictions have been effective in reducing the impact on businesses.

In July, an Asian internet celebrity marketing service was added to the list of programs on industry demand and current trends. Singaporean e-commerce giant Qoo10 also joined the team in July, offering more options for interested businesses.

The BOFT also recently joined hands with Amazon, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn and Twitter in founding the Digital Trade Academy, which offers courses under the four themes, Cross-border E-commerce, Digital Transformation, Digital Commerce, and Digital Marketing. Many of the classes discuss real-life cases, and are livestreamed for remote learners.
