The Kaohsiung Food Show (KFS), organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of the MOEA, was recently held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from October 22 to 25 in conjunction with Kaohsiung HORECA and Kaohsiung HALAL. The annual exhibition is regarded as the food industry’s top trade and procurement platform in Southern Taiwan. This year, a wide range of high quality Taiwanese agricultural, fishery, and livestock products were showcased to increase their exposure and facilitate partnerships between manufacturers and sales channels. Various exotic cuisines from Eswatini, and Latin America also attracted the attention of visitors.
The BOFT organized online trade tasks on the first day of the exhibition, in which buyers from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Russia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Myanmar and Thailand negotiated potential business opportunities with Taiwanese food manufacturers. A Halal market seminar was held as part of Kaohsiung HALAL, which is one of the important events for the Halal industry in Taiwan. Highlights of the four-day exhibition included the Product Launch Show, the Master-Chef Cooking Show and the TA-KAO City Cup Bartending Competition, which attracted crowds to the exciting and interactive experience.
