Africa Business Forum
To assist Taiwanese companies explore opportunities in the African market, TAITRA held the Africa Business Forum at TWTC on November 20, 2018 under commission by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. African representatives in Taiwan, the African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and local African companies attended the event and met face-to-face with Taiwanese companies. The forum helped business operators learn more about African markets through first-hand market information. Six speakers were invited to the forum, including notably, the senior manager from the Eswatini Investment Bureau, the Secretary General of the Minara Chamber of Commerce in South Africa, and the head of the Asia-Pacific Africa Group from TAITRA. They spoke on the market environment and investment opportunities in Eswatini, South Africa, Nigeria and Mozambique. The event attracted domestic manufacturers and African buyers totaling more than 300 participants.
