The 2019 COMPUTEX Taipei kicked off on May 28, 2019. President Ms. Tsai Ing-wen, Minister of Economic Affairs (MOEA) Mr. Shen Jong-Chin and Director General of the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) under the MOEA, Ms. Yang Jen-Ni were invited to open the show.
The annual COMPUTEX Taipei is jointly organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taipei Computer Association (TCA). Each year COMPUTEX Taipei attracts more than 40,000 international visitors to Taiwan. As one of the most important exhibitions for the ICT industry, it not only showcases cutting-edge services and products from all over the world but also helps to boost exports.
Besides COMPUTEX Taipei, Taiwanese companies can also leverage the trade promotional activities supported by the BOFT to expand their markets. This year, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion has been set up at international exhibitions and the Taiwan Expo has been held in New Southbound Policy countries, both of which presented Taiwan's innovative ICT products to the world.
