Over the past two years, the Bureau of Foreign Trade and the Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association have jointly held two seminars on business opportunities for the medical device sectors in such New Southbound Policy markets as Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

This year's seminar held on June 25 in Kaohsiung, focused on the markets in Thailand and Cambodia. The BOFT invited Jason Hsu and Simon Gong, Directors of the Economic Divisions of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Offices in Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City, respectively, to give speech and share market experiences in this seminar.

Both Directors explained the local business markets, regulations concerning medical devices, and application procedures for doing business in Thailand and Cambodia in order to help Taiwanese enterprises gain more insights about the medical device markets in these two countries. Almost 40 participants attended this seminar.
