In order to help Taiwanese SMEs understand the developments of e-commerce regulations in New Southbound countries and aid their expansion into New Southbound e-commerce markets, the Bureau of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taipei Bar Association jointly held the 2019 Forum on ASEAN and South Asia General and Commercial Law on September 10, 2019. Legal experts from New Southbound countries, such as India and ASEAN, were invited. This was the first time the keynote topic focused on e-commerce issues. Professional views on relevant laws and e-commerce practices in Southeast Asia were shared among the 200-plus experts and entrepreneurs who attended the forum.
