To help promote commercial collaboration between Taiwan and the Czech Republic, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) held the Taiwan-Czech Republic Business Networking event on 31 August at the Taipei Nangang International Exhibition Center, Hall 2 during the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Mr. Miloš Vystrčil and his 89-member delegation’s visit to Taiwan from 30 August to 4 September, 2020. Thirty-four Czech businesses, including cutting-edge tech industries like those in AI recognition systems, aerospace, ICT and cyber security, and more than 100 Taiwanese businesses joined the event. Over 150 one-to-one business-matching sessions were held observing anti-pandemic regulations.

This event not only provided a platform for Taiwanese and Czech businesses to deepen mutual understanding through increased exchanges, but also proved that the bilateral economic and trade relations between Taiwan and the Czech Republic remain strong despite this difficult time of COVID-19.
