In order to promote bilateral trade between Taiwanese manufacturers and Islamic countries, the BOFT established the "Taiwan Halal Center" in April 2017. It also set up a halal website, which provides information on halal-certified businesses, institutions and specifications, sales channels for domestically certified halal products, restaurants, hotels, and Islamic praying facilities.
