Trade
In 2024, bilateral trade between Taiwan and Australia totaled US$20.2 billion. Australia is Taiwan's 11th largest trading partner, accounting for 2.3% of our total trade. Australia is Taiwan's largest source of coal and iron ore imports. In addition, we also import a large amount of Australian dairy products, wheat, and sugar, which makes Taiwan a huge customer for Australian agricultural products.
Investment
Taiwan's investment in Australia in 2024 amounted to US$3.8 billion, while Australia's investment in Taiwan amounted to US$4.0 billion for the same year.
