Trade
Bilateral trade between Taiwan and Thailand reached US$19.4 billion in 2025, ranking Thailand as our 11th largest trading partner globally. Of that figure, Taiwan's exports amounted to US$12.8 billion, for an annual increase of 8.2%, making Thailand our 10th biggest export market. Meanwhile, Taiwan's imports from there totaled US$6.6 billion, down 5.7% year on year, ranking Thailand as our 12th largest source of imports.
Taiwan has been the top supplier of integrated circuits (HS8542) to Thailand since 2013, accounting for 47.9% of Thailand's total IC imports in 2025. Meanwhile, Thailand has been Taiwan's 2nd largest export market for frozen fish (HS0303) since 2013, purchasing 21.5% of Taiwan's total frozen fish exports during the period.
Investment
According to Thailand's Board of Investment, in 2025, Taiwan's foreign direct investment in Thailand amounted to US$870 million, in a total of 131 projects, ranking Taiwan as Thailand's 6th largest source of FDI for the year.
According to the Department of Investment Review under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, as of 2025, Thailand’s cumulative investment in Taiwan reached US$1.23 billion, comprising 564 approved projects.
