Trade
Bilateral trade between Iran and Taiwan totaled US$57 million in 2025, decreasing 17.89% over the previous year. Taiwan's exports to Iran amounted to US$40.30 million, decreasing 27.13%, while Taiwan's imports from Iran amounted to US$16.97 million, increasing 17.47%.
The main export products were screws, bolts, nuts, reaction accelerators, parts and accessories of the motor vehicles. The major imported products were petroleum coke, natural or reproduced by synthesis, copper plates and polymers of ethylene.
Investment
According to According to statistics from the Department of Investment Review, MOEA, 81 Iranian direct investment (FDI) cases for a total amount of US$7.79 million were approved from 1952 to 2025. As for Taiwan's outward investment in Iran, only 1 case was approved from 1952 to August 2025. This approved investment amounted to US$183 thousand.
