Taiwan-Brazil Economic Relations
Trade
Brazil is our 2nd largest commercial partner in Latin America. In 2025, Brazil was Taiwan’s 27th largest trading partner and 31th largest export destination. Bilateral trade between Brazil and Taiwan totaled US$3.19 billion in 2025. Brazil’s exports to Taiwan in 2025 amounted to US$2.13 billion, while Taiwan’s exports to Brazil amounted to US$1.06 billion. The industries of Taiwan and Brazil are highly complementary with great potential and room for increase in the bilateral trade between the two sides.
Investment
Brazil has a population of more than 275 million and is the second most attractive country for Taiwanese investors in Latin America after Mexico, particular for the ICT industry. Major Taiwanese investments include: Foxconn, Asus, Compal Electronics, Acer, Braview, New Kinpo, ADATA, Advantech, Delta, Askey, and Pegatron, etc.
