Bilateral trade between Taiwan and Belgium reached US$ 2.44 billion in 2025, ranking Belgium our 10th largest trading partner in Europe. In 2025, Taiwan's exports to Belgium were US$ 1.72 billion, representing a decrease of 19.56% over the previous year, making Belgium our 7th largest export market in Europe. Meanwhile, Taiwan's imports from Belgium amounted to US$ 720.5 million, decreasing 24.68%, and ranking Belgium our 13th largest source of imports in Europe.
Investment
As of December 2025, Belgian enterprises had invested a total of 165 cases in Taiwan, with a cumulative value of US$ 197.81 million. Major investment industries were: scientific and technical services, finance and insurance, electronic parts and components manufacturing. During the same period, Taiwanese domestic enterprises have engaged in 14 investment projects in Belgium, amounting to a total of US$ 313.04 million. Major investment industries were: real estate, finance and insurance, transportation and storage.
