Bilateral trade between Taiwan and Ireland reached US$4.49 billion in 2025, ranking Ireland as our 5th largest trading partner among EU members. Taiwan's exports to Ireland totaled US$3.61 billion, representing an increase of 159% over the previous year, making Ireland our 3rd biggest export market in the EU. Meanwhile, Taiwan's imports from there amounted to US$876 million, up 0.2% year on year, ranking Ireland as our 7th largest source of imports from the EU.
Investment
As of the end of 2025, Irish companies had invested a cumulative US$317.73 million in Taiwan in a total of 85 cases. The main industries invested in include wholesale and retail trade, electronic components manufacturing, and consultancy services. Meanwhile, Taiwanese enterprises' cumulative investment in Ireland reached US$70.93 million, in a total of 5 projects. Major sectors invested in include electronic parts and components production, and marine transport.
