Asia Low Emission Development Strategies Partnership (ALP)

2025-04-17

The Asia LEDS Partnership (ALP) is a voluntary regional network consisting of individuals and organizations from the public, private and non-governmental sectors active in designing, promoting and/or implementing Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Communities of Practice (CoPs)

ALP links practitioners and policymakers through a network of five cross-cutting working groups (CoPs) which support members on sectoral topics: namely energy, finance, multilateral climate governance, transport, and building energy efficiency. A CoP is a network of engaged experts and practitioners from a sector or working area who come together to regularly engage in peer-to-peer learning to improve their personal and collective group knowledge. The network offers an alternative to conventional knowledge-sharing platforms that usually feature top-down development assistance and policy adoption by providing an inclusive member experience. The activities of each CoP focus on peer learning, expert assistance and knowledge exchange through discussions, workshops, seminars, case studies and other activities on topics of relevance to the members.

The five CoPs under ALP include: 1) Building Energy Efficiency 2) Clean Mobility 3) Grid Renewable Energy 4) NDC Finance 5) Sub-National Integration.
