Since IoT-connected cars have become a global trend, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) held the "Sourcing Taiwan Online-Smart Vehicle Supply Chain" on July 8, 2021.

This event attracted 70 buyers from 30 countries to meet with 77 Taiwanese manufacturers regarding batteries, charging stations and auto parts. During the event, electronic component manufacturers, energy equipment suppliers and EV system providers from Japan, Brazil, Italy, Poland, Thailand and Hong Kong discussed procurement matters with Taiwanese companies such as Foxtron Technology, ProLogium Technology, Hotron Electronic, Advantech, and Shihlin Electric in 131 one-on-one sessions.
