Taiwan’s export value in August 2022 was US$40.34 billion, an increase of 2.0% compared to the same month last year. Taiwan’s import value in August 2022 was US$37.35 billion, an increase of 3.5% compared to the same month last year. 

In August 2022, the export value of electronic products was US$17.05 billion (42.3% of the total). It was the principal commodity export. Compared to the same month last year, mineral products,  parts of electronic product and vehicles, aircraft, vessels and associated transport equipments grew by 91.9%, 12.0% and 8.6%, respectively.

In August 2022, exports to ASEAN, Japan, Europe, the U.S.A. and Mainland China & Hong Kong grew by 17.6%, 16.2%, 2.6%, 2.3% and -9.9%, respectively compared to the same month of last year.
