Taiwan's export value in December 2022 was US$35.75 billion, an increase of -12.1% compared to the same month last year. Taiwan’s import value in December 2022 was US$30.96 billion, an increase of -11.4% compared to the same month last year. 

In December 2022, the export value of electronic products was US$16.04 billion (44.9% of the total). It was the principal commodity export. Compared to the same month last year, parts of electronic product, machinery and information, communication and audio-video products grew by -1.4%, -9.4% and -10.7% respectively.

In December 2022, exports to the U.S.A., Japan, Europe, ASEAN and Mainland China & Hong Kong grew by -2.6%, -6.1%, -10.5%, -10.8% and -16.4%, respectively compared to the same month of last year.
