Minister of Economic Affairs Jyh-Huei Kuo will lead a delegation of business leaders to the U.S. on June 21 to participate in the "SelectUSA Investment Summit" hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The delegation will engage with important U.S. companies and associations to convey the policy directions of the new Taiwan government, understand the concerns and needs of industries, and enhance U.S.-Taiwan economic and trade relations. The visit will also include meetings with key U.S. businesses to encourage investment in Taiwan and promote U.S.-Taiwan supply chain partnerships.
With extensive industrial experience exceeding 40 years, Minister Kuo understands the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) when investing and deploying overseas. Since taking office, Minister Kuo has actively promoted policies like facilitating Taiwanese industrial supply chains to expand opportunities in the U.S.
While the United States and Taiwan share similar values, the MOEA will continue to help Taiwanese businesses enter global markets, provide necessary support for SMEs to expand into critical markets, and solidify ties with U.S. supply chain partnerships.
