The BOFT and TAITRA organized the 2021 Taiwan Biotechnology and Medical Industry Online Delegation to Middle East countries on June 1, 2021. With the assistance of the Dubai-Taiwan Trade Center, a total of 11 buyers from Middle East countries met with 11 Taiwanese manufacturers for 40 one-on-one video negotiations.

Promotion of this event was strengthened by arranging online matchmaking meetings and producing electronic catalogs. Based on the characteristics and needs of our companies, a number of important buyers, such as UAE-based medical equipment distributors Health Sapphire and Gael Medical, Bahrain healthcare dealer Yousuf Mahmood Husain W.L.L., and Omen National Renaissance Sky, were invited to meet with 11 Taiwanese smart healthcare and biotechnology companies, which comprised TaiHao Medical, Leadtek Research, Tai-Saw Technology, Insight Medical Solutions, Muen Biomedical and Optoelectronic Technologies, SyncVision Technology, Far Eastern New Century, Bio Preventive Medicine, Golden Biotechnology, Healthbanks Biomedical, and Maxigen Biotech. Participating buyers all endorsed follow-up cooperation with Taiwanese manufacturers.

This event enabled plenty of successful matchmaking cases. Many Middle Eastern buyers intend to introduce our products, such as computer-aided diagnostic systems for breast ultrasonographs, gastrointestinal endoscopies, and acute physiological evaluation systems to their countries.
