On October 12, 2026, TITA Director General William Liu received a delegation led by Keiji Furuya , Chairman of the Japan-Taiwan Diet Members' Consultative Council, and Takane Kosaka, Mayor of Ena City, Gifu Prefecture. The two sides exchanged views on Taiwan-Japan economic and trade relations and local industrial cooperation between Taiwan and the five cities of the Tono region in Gifu Prefecture.
