To aid participants in considering divergences in classifying information technology products, the Secretariat had compiled the various classifications of Attachment B items in documents G/IT/2 and G/IT/2/Add.1. At the meeting of the Committee on 6 July 1999 it was requested that document G/IT/2/Add. 1 be updated in order to provide the latest information on classification divergences. Specifically this would include adding the participants that had joined the Ministerial Declaration since the issuance of the original document, and incorporating any changes that were implemented by participants as rectifications or modifications.
