The Special Session of the Committee on Trade and Environment (CTESS) held its sixth meeting on 1 2 May 2003 on the basis of the agenda set out in the convening airgram (WTO/AIR/2071). Ambassador Yolande Biké of the Republic of Gabon chaired the meeting. The CTESS had extended an invitation on an ad hoc basis to six multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), all of whom attended Paragraph 31 (i) discussions. Delegations welcomed the ad hoc invitees and thanked them for their constructive engagement.
